scooter adventures

so celeste started all this scooter business, but i have taken it further. as has been seen before, i now have 2 scooters. also i have become the family scooter mechanic. i have worked on my first scooter for a while, and it is running very well.
when celeste got her scooter, the guy that sold her the scooter and tried to help her put it together, didn't know what he was doing, and then it died, and then it got stolen, beat up a little bit, and then it was found, and then after a long time, it was finally brought home. apparently, the people who stole the bike decided that since they broke the ignition they should fix it. so the ignition was not only buggered up from the screwdriver, but it was broken in half. so they put it together with two pieces of wood, and an auto clamp. so i fixed that, and then started on the wrest of the bike.
so dad and i went to work on it, figured out that it was just the battery keeping it from starting, so we got the engine started had it running for a while, then went to work on the blinkers. but first it snowed for about a month.
so finally we had some decent days to work on the scooter. after several hours, and lots of tracing, we found the faulty part. a small signal relay. a transistor had broken off and shut down all of the blinkers. so we got that part, plugged it all in, and started it up.
so here are some pictures of our first ride, with both of my scooters. then the busted parts, and then the first ride of celeste on her own scooter.

2011

well it's a new year. only one thing that i forgot to post last year, and that is......................................
I GOT A NEW SCOOTER!!!!!!! it's a 2008, 150cc scooter. it looks like dad's in design, but mine is white and green. it is a sweet ride. i was able to ride it for about a week until the snow started to fall. now i am past Christmas and new years, and i just can't wait until the snow goes away so that i can go riding more. m new scooter is named Sabia, it means the sweet one. i also found a nice leather jacket at DI for $25, so i've got that goin for me. Christmas was great, we had ben and amber come over at 4 in the morning to help us open presents. i got some more tim tams and ginger beer, an old republic book, and lots of other stuff. my big gift was a deep fryer/slow cooker combo. it is so cool. then for new years we went over to ben and amber's house and played games and watched movies. now i am in school, and like usual i was a slacker and didn't register until a week before classes started, so i have uni band, and a networking class. they are both good classes, and i am looking forward to playing and learning. i am 1st horn this semester, and so i need to work hard. well, that's all.

Monday, October 4, 2010

so today i got new sunglasses, they have a camera built into the bridge. i am looking forward to using them, it should be a good time. i'll post picks and vids as i go. i also need to take pictures of the timpani covers that i made for the marching band. they turned out good, even if i do say so my self.

Thursday, July 15, 2010

i found my new love. her name is Shanessa. a 2007 aero 50cc scooter. it was love at first ride. $250 and it's all mine. it is such a sweet ride.

i got to ride her home in the night, so we got to find out that my high beams don't work, and my break lights don't work, i have no speedometer, and no horn, but these are all cheap easy fixes.

the best thing was when, on the way home i was out by pioneer road, and when i got to porter park, i ran out of gas. so the way my lights are right now, everything shut off. no lights, no motor, nothin. so mom and dad went off to get a gas tank, and as soon as they left, a man across the street came over and gave me some gas. so i could now get lights, and get it started, but i forgot my phone on the couch. so there was no way to call them. i tried to use my ipod, but there wasn't any good connection to a network. so i waited until dad came back. other than that, it is a great little scooter.

update

well, i have been out of walmart for almost 2 months. since then i have been able to help my dad with several jobs, and got to do some things that i have been wanting to do for a while. i have been enjoying the time to do the things that i want to do.
